Babies need Music Together® too! We have several options for babies and I suggest doing as many as you can.
The one-semester Music Together® Babies Class was created especially for families with infants under eight months old. That’s right: It’s never too early to start our music classes!
Maybe you’ve noticed that your baby responds when you play a song in the car or sing to soothe him. Babies are naturally musical—and you don’t have to be a great singer or dancer yourself to nurture their love of music. In this music class for babies, your Music Together teacher will show you how you can support your baby’s music development through simple and fun activities. You’ll learn lots of musical ways to connect with your little one through music, and you’ll bond with the other new parents in your class, too. This class meets weekly for 45 minutes, for a nine week session.
Our Music Together Lullaby Class or Lullaby Workshop has been designed for parents and caregivers of young children (non mobile children) 8 months old or younger and expectant parents to introduce you to the many ways in which lullabies are so important for children’s development. This class will also provide you with the chance to learn new lullabies and revisit familiar ones, and give you new ways to share these songs with your children and families. The Lullaby Series at the Rec Center is designed as a series of three once a month classes, but can be taken individually. The Lullaby Workshop is a little longer, but is only once every couple months. We will occasionally have a short mini session, like Jingle Bell Babies, with a series of 2-4 classes.
