Policies and Procedures for Eversong's Music Classes
Cancellation Policy: Payments made for tuition are non-refundable after the session begins. If you agree to use a payment plan, any remaining balance on the account must be paid regardless of cancelation. There are no exceptions.
Make-up Classes: For your convenience, unlimited make ups are availabe by coming to an additional class during the week. 1 make-up week at the end of the semester is available in case of illness or other circumstances. If you know you will be missing in the future, you can go ahead and schedule your makeup before your scheduled absence. All make-ups must be used during the session in which you are enrolled. Make-ups do not roll over to the next session. There are no exceptions. There are no refunds for missed classes. It is not the responsibility of Eversong Music to ensure you receive your allowed makeups.
Class Size and Teacher Assignment: Class size is normally a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 9 children. Exceptions may be made in unusual circumstances at the discretion of the director, and occasionally make-ups may contribute to more than 9 per class. Teacher absence may be covered by a substitute from the neighboring center, but may be cancelled.
CDs, Songbooks, Guides: With your enrollment in a Fall, Winter, Summer, or Spring session, each family will recieve a CD, Download Code, Songbook, and Parent Education Materials. Make it available for your child to listen to while she/he is playing, riding in the car, and before nap or bedtime. Use the songbook to help you remember the songs. You can also play along with an instrument with the Let's Play section of the app, where the music is fully available. At bedtime or nap time, try using the songbook instead of a regular book.
Sibling Policies: We welcome children ages birth through age 7 to register for Mixed Age classes. Any child attending class on a regular basis must be registered for class. Babies 8 months and under at the time of registration are admitted free with a registered sibling. Please provide your baby’s name and birth date. Older siblings can attend class as a "grown up" and participate. They often love this option! Younger siblings are allowed to attend Rhythm Kids classes so the parent can stay for class, but they must also be registered for their own music class as Rhythm Kids is not developmentally appropriate for kids younger than 4.
Drinks ONLY in Class: Liquids are fine to have in class (water bottles, "no-spill" sippy cups, or regular bottles). Please respect our studios (as well as those with food allergies) by keeping food out of the classrooms, unless other arrangements have been made. Also, avoid chewing gum.
Illness: Please be sure to sanitize your hands before and after class to help keep our environment as free of germs as possible! Please do not bring yourself or your child to class if anyone has a contagious illness. The rule with fevers: you and your child must be free of a fever for 24 hours without using a fever reducer medicine before you can return. Please be mindful of coming to class with clean, healthy feet. If you have an open wound or any issue with your feet, please help us keep all children healthy by using socks. Our goal is to provide the best musical experience for your children, in a clean and loving environment.
Talking in class: Please be mindful of not talking when you are in class. Please communicate with each other by singing in class. Remember that your child is so connected to you, that if you are talking they want to hear your words, and then they are not able to even hear the music that is going on in class.
Photo Release: There is a selection question on the registration page about photography release. Occasionally, Eversong may take recordings, photographs, videos, or films of its programs and of the children participating in its programs. These materials may be used for educational, training, and promotional purposes. By agreeing to allow your child's photograph to be taken, you consent to your inclusion in these materials. No names of children or parents will be used without additional consent.
Personal Injury Waiver: A parent or care-giver is required to be present with each child participating in Eversong's Mixed Age Family Classes, Doodle Drums, or other art classes and is encouraged to participate in Rhythm Kid classes. Our team has worked very hard to provide a safe environment for you and your family. Therefore, by participating in class, families agree to hold Eversong and all teachers, staff, and affiliated persons free from all damages or liability for any injury to person or property arising from participation in classes and will hold Eversong harmless in the event of any personal injury, property damage or loss, indemnifying said parties of any loss that you might incur as a result.
